Good information, bad digitizing.

The rendering into digital is slipshod, with wretched rendering of non-English letters. If one can work around that, the information is helpful, as Trench is, but one could wish for a cleaner edition as, for example, Robertson's massive "Historical Grammar." If you cannot work around the numerous typos, buy a print copy. It is worth study.

Well organized and thorough!

R. C. Trench was a master of Biblical Greek. Much time is spent showing the linguistic difference and cultural difference between synonymous Greek words and explaining why the translators chose the particular English word they did when translating our Bible. However, since the English language cannot quite capture the meaning of the Greek word and grammar used in the original text, this book is a great tool for the serious Bible student to get a more vivid picture of what God meant when He gave us our Bible.

A good path to curriculum design

If you are an academic administrator and you have to participate in the curriculum design of undergraduate and even graduate programs, then this book can be very helpful before starting the process. It's the 2009 second edition so it's very up-to-date, and the ideas can be useful not only in US but worldwide.

This book has managed to make an already dry subject (curricular development) even drier. The language is simple and easy to read, which is a plus, but the chapters are often 40 pages long and drag on endlessly. Given the subject (which is what I am primarily basing my review on), Lattuca & Stark do a fine job.

If you're interested in curricular development, I'm sure this is a great place to start. If you're not interested in it, however, this book will NOT pique any interest.

Better than I thought it would be

This book was required reading for a graduate course that I am taking. There is some useful information, but, as usual with this genre of book, too much "educationist" claptrap. I do admit that there is some information here that could be very useful for administrators, if they don't fall asleep while reading the rest of it!

THE USS ENTERPRISE BOOK IS INCREDIBLE! I served on the USS Enterprise CVN-65 from 1986-1990. I completed 2 cruises. The first was a Western Pacific Cruise in 1988. The second was the 1990 World Cruise. I was 17-21 years old.I fueled jets and helos on the flight deck and spent 6 months as a guard in the brig (jail guard). Yes, there is a jail on board. I even watched Alec Baldwin and Fred Thompson film for the movie "The Hunt for Red October", Top Gun was also filmed on this famous ship. I bought this book and it brought back so many memories. It is the complete history of the "Big E" from laying the keel to it's decommissioning last year after 51 years of service. It is the first nuclear powered carrier and the biggest ship in the world for decades. The pictures are beautiful and plentiful. The Big E was in every conflict since 1961. From the Cuban Missile Crisis to the War on Terror. I bought my book a bit hesitant (because money is tight), but I am VERY HAPPY I did! I read when I go to bed and I've read the book from cover to cover (almost 700 pages) because it was so fun and interesting, it took me about a month (which doesn't happen often). It is the USS Enterprise encyclopedia, very detailed and precise. If you served, know a vet, a vet from the Big E or just intrigued about the best US Navy (I guess I am a bit biased) ship ever built, this is the book! I am buying another to keep it in mint shape as the ship is currently being dismantled and now part of history. I'm excited about USS ENTERPRISE CVN-80, which is scheduled to be built in the next decade or so. I am so proud I served on the Big E , it changed my life. Happy Holidays!

This was bought for a retired Naval Commander who was on this ship at one time. He was totally thrilled with the content & one of his helicopter rescues is mentioned in this book. He is very pleased!

Christer Str�mholm (1918 - 2002) in Stockholm was a Swedish photographer and educator. From the Foto Colectania Foundation and RM Publishers come the following comments: `He is known for his intimate black and white street photography portrait series. Les Nuits de Place Blanche immerses the reader in Parisian nightlife od rhe 50s an d60s, more specifically in the transsexual community in the neighborhood near Pigalle Square. Christer Str�mholm, considered the father of Swedish contemporary photography, portrayed the characters in an intimate and exuberant way, either in the street or in the hotel rooms they were living. According to the photographer, this work is about one's freedom to choose one's own life and identity. Over time those images have become poignant reminders of human frailties and strengths. The series exudes fragility and beauty and symbolizes what working with photography means to Str�mholm: the opportunity to deepen into big questions of life, such as love, death and human loneliness.

Beautifully formatted and printed but really just a collection of photos with extended captions. I expected more insights but that's Paul Scholes for you. I suspect he didn't want to talk about himself so the publisher just presented him with a bunch of photos and asked him to write down what he remembered.

To the point and brilliant

Scholesy takes us through his wonderful career with Manchester United (sans 2012/13) with fantastic insight into key moments of his time at the club. The only disappointing thing about this book is that it's a little on the short side, I would've loved to get more details about certain moments that sometimes Scholes glances over however as any United fan would know it's typical of him to be straight forward and to the point. In the end I highly recommend this for Manchester United fans specifically and football fans in general.

Very basic, simplistic, lazy attempt, which fails to offer any real insight into his career, or the major players who surrounded him. Good for children with short attention spans who desire chronological fact checks of his career with an abundance of pictures, though for those of us who would like a more in depth exploration of his career, a total let down. Read Gary Neville's book instead.

Not really a scary book

This is not really a "scary book" as I thought when I purchased it. You do get a lot of bible lessons, like one on each page, as the author clearly stated. I did enjoy it somewhat....the most disturbing thing I took away from it is that the Amish People worship Satanism and Witchcraft. I thought his claims were full of balogne but I did some serving this subject online for myself. Wow.....he was right and there was tons of information about it out there. Like I was the only one in the world that did not know this. The book was pretty slow in some parts but it was an easy read.

I started reading this book for entertainment but quickly found it to also be in agreement with my spiritual beliefs. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone that likes a good ghost story and also believe in the power of God.

I recommend both "220 Fifth St" and "Nightmare in Holmes County".........looking forward to the next book.

An novel work of program codes for geometrical calculations

The work falls in the area of computer graphics. People have to write code to draw geometrical shapes and do assoicate calculations. The book guides the reader in development such code in a systematc way. The code is developed is in such a way that there is a gradual development. The code can be made part of other programs. It deals with lines, circles and tangents, arcs, intersection of arcs, areas, lines and planes, volumes and forms of computation like that of centre of gravity of a cone. The last chapter deals with pixel based drawing. The material presented with lot of figures and formulae. It is a excellent book for introduction of computer concepts.
