This manual is a textbook, academic in nature, full of research and detail. If you're an MBTI facilitator and you need to have a good understanding of the theory and research supporting MBTI, this may be a good investment. If you're just a type junkie looking for a good read about MBTI, I'm not sure I'd recommend this (unless you're an NT, and you like acquiring knowledge for no particular reason).

The book is organized as follows:
1. Overview / Differences between MBTI and other instruments
2. Construction, development, revision of MBTI instrument
3. Theory behind MBTI
4. Understanding the 16 types
5. Administering the MBTI
6. Interpreting results and verifying type
7. Construction and properties of the MBTI
8. Reliability and measurement precision
9. Validity
10. Use of types in counseling and pschotherapy
11. Use of type in eduction
12. Use of type in career counseling
13. Use of type in organizations
14. Use of type in multicultural settings.

The book provides a fair amount of interesting detail that you won't find elsewhere -- but the detail is of limited use to most folks. Do you really need to know which type is most highly represented among research librarians? And female engineering students? High school basketball coaches? How types correlate with college aptitude test scores?

There are lots of charts and graphs and detailed information -- it's interesting, but it will be of little practical use to most casual users of MBTI. (As an NT, however, I find it fascinating -- as knowledge in and of itself has value.)

This is a fully referenced psychology textbook on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. Essential reference for accredited administrators of the instrument. Also for anyone researching or otherwise writing about the MBTI. There are articles out there even in peer reviewed journals raising pretty facile objections to type theory, all of which are thoroughly dealt with in this work and its a shame the authors didnt consult it first.

I will give it away for free

This book does not help you at all to pass the ASE TEST, for much harder that you study from this book you don't going to pass,
at least you have knowledge of what you doing, the put 300 questions but not even close for what and how they ask the question in the real test , so please do not waste your money on any of these books, how ever you have to find other way to study for your test, if there is some one who wants to buy my book for 13$ let me know.

The End of Diabetes: The Eat to Live Plan

When I read the recipes in the back of the book I thought they were so radical that no one, unless they were, 'on death's doorstep', would eat that way. Well, I don't see 'crow' as one of the options but, if it were, I'd be eating it. I was diagnosed with diabetes two years ago and since then, my life has been a rollercoaster between feeling awful and just fair. Although I'd incorporated more exercise into my lifestyle and my blood sugar had gone down, it didn't change my overall feelings of well being. Seemed no matter what combination of foods I ate, I couldn't seem to sustain 'feeling good'.

I decided I'd try one or two of the less 'outrageous' recipes and go from there. That was just about a month ago and I'm still trying the recipes. One day about two weeks into eating this way, I had a hamburger and french fries. I'm not kidding, I felt so awful the next day I could barely function.

I have a freezer full of meat that I'm boxing up to take to the food bank. I gave a gallon of 1% milk away a few days ago. I'm also taking all noodles, pasta, etc.

I'm also eating steel cut oats and taking red rice yeast. My cholesterol was down almost 50% my last blood test.

I'm grateful to Dr. Fuhrman for all the research and work he's done to produce the book and the recipes. I truly think it's a life saver. I understand that his other book, 'Eat to Live', also has some great recipes.

I see on his website you can sign up, for a nominal sum, and get additional recipes and recommendations, etc., personally, I think that's, 'milking', it but, that's just my opinion. The more you become accustomed to fixing food this way, the more adventurous you'll become working with the recipes.

As an addendum to this review, it is now May 10 and I began eating as suggested by this book on January 21. When I began this way of eating, my blood sugar was 7.8 and my doctor wanted to start me on insulin...which I was VERY opposed to. I had my quarterly blood test on May 6th and my blood sugar is 6! NORMAL. I can think of no better recommendation for eating as recommended in this book. AND, although I stick to it about 99% I do use olive oil when I want to, I eat grilled shrimp on a caesar salad smothered in grated cheese occasionally. I love salsa and chips and have them once or twice a week so, it doesn't have to be so radical you won't stick with it. Tailor it to your life style and see what works and doesn't work for you. No one will stick to any diet that is so rigid they can't live normally.

Dr. Fuhrman Saved My Life

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on June 26th, 2013. I started the ADA diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. Finally i began to panic and called my doctor, he told me to get used to it. He said I would be on metformin my whole life and eventually insulin. At that point i knew something wasn't right and began to do a lot of research. On July 13th I went to the book store and found this book after looking at 10 or so others. I read the book from end to end that night because everything Dr. Fuhrman was saying made absolute sense. I started the diet that day and the next morning my blood sugar was down to 100, the next day was in the 90's and now i have a fasting blood sugar between Mid 70's and the 80's. My doctor took me off the metformin after just one week of being on this lifestyle change. I have lost over 30 pounds in a month. I now work out twice a day and still have tons of energy. I have lost 6+ inches around my waist and I am off my high blood pressure medication too. I have about 20 more pounds to go till my body finds its ideal weight. The great news is, this is a lifestyle I can live with, it makes sense and it works. God Bless Dr. Fuhrman. I wish the ADA would stop enabling consumers and tell them the truth. You can get off the drugs, you can help yourself, but you have to have a correct lifestyle and diet. No more processed foods.

A choice to make

I find the negative comments on this book rather enlightening. Essentially, they all said something like: I don't want to eat that way, so the book doesn't suit me. In the first month following the program outlined in this book, I dropped my blood pressure from about 150 to 120 and fasting glucose average from about 240 to 120. So, Hey, I can get along without pizza and donuts in order to add a dozen healthy years to my life. I think that is a reasonable choice. If someone would rather cut his life short by enjoying gluttony, that's a choice he is entitled to make. But he shouldn't blame the author of the book for it.

deep psychological crime thriller

Police commissioner Rudolf Grovian decides to conduct an inquiry into the Cora Bender homicide case. In a park filled with people who witnessed Cora knife to the death n apparent stranger while her stunned husband Gereon tried to stop her after she slit the victim's throat. Although the local cops arrest Cora as the case is obvious with so many including her child and spouse seeing her do the act, Rudolf is fascinated by the culprit's behavior.

He interviews Cora trying to understand her motive for killing an apparent stranger. Instead Cora explains her family dynamics; not with Gereon who she loves and owes a debt of gratitude for allowing her to escape; instead with her blood family. Her mother hates her for being born and destroying her lifestyle with her birth; her disabled sister totally depended on Cora for everything. Still the cop struggles to comprehend why even as Cora explains her sexual obsession inside a religious fanaticism which bewilders him further.

This is a deep psychological crime thriller in which the audience learns the demons that haunt and obsess Cora. The story line rotates first and third person perspectives but that works quite nicely as the first person enables the reader to get inside Cora while the third person keeps the investigating exciting. Sub-genre readers will appreciate the character driven THE SINNER from the opening sequence when Cora almost kills Gereon with her powerful legs during a sexual moment until the final revelations that shake up Rudolf (and the audience).

Darkly Compelling Psychological Thriller

One hot July day, twenty-four year old Cora Bender decides to commit suicide. Her plan is simple, go to the beach with her husband and two year old son, swim out deep, and drown. Her death would stop the nightmares and silence the horrible song that plays in her head. Most importantly, it would keep her from remembering snippets of the "black time" in her life. But she isn't able to kill herself. Before she has the chance to swim out into deep water, her son wants an apple. As she peels it for him, the couple on the blanket a few feet away begins making out. The wife slips a tape into the player and Cora hears the song. Something snaps inside her. She takes the small knife she's been using and stabs the man in the neck over and over again until she's dragged from his lifeless body.

It should be an open and shut case. There are several eye witnesses, and Cora readily admits to the murder, but all that isn't enough for Police Commissioner Rudolf Grovian. He wants to know why, and he won't stop until he breaks down the wall in Cora's mind that hides the black time.

THE SINNER is the story of Grovian's investigation into Cora's past. Originally written in German, THE SINNER is an exhaustingly fascinating examination of the lengths the human mind will go to in order to protect itself. I was riveted by this story. Cora's world in all its variations stayed with me even when my schedule dictated I put the book down. I found myself wondering what really happened, what was truth, and what was fiction in this darkly compelling psychological thriller. It is easy to see how this book stayed on Germany's bestseller list for fifteen months.

Haunted by the Past

In the vast preponderance of crime stories, the detective must examine means and motive (the how and why) in order to identify the culprit (the who). This English-language debut from German writer Hammesfahr flips the traditional arrangement, by making the who and the how absolutely clear from the start, and making the why completely unknown. There is no dispute that Cora Bender attacked a man at the park with a paring knife and killed him in plain sight of her own husband, son, and plenty of witnesses. What no one, including Commissioner Grovian, can figure out is why. And to my surprise, Hammesfahr manages to make his quest to understand the "why" into a gripping tale.

Even as Cora confesses and offers explanation, Grovian senses that her story isn't quite right. And for 300 pages, he prods, pokes, and literally digs into her past to try and figure out what triggered her seemingly senseless murder. Cora is a psychological mess, and as she throws out lies, half-truths, and whole truths in sometimes coherent, sometimes manic, monologues and interviews, Grovian is constantly sifting away. Cora's childhood was a very strange one, raised by an intensely Catholic mother, sexually frustrated father, and both religious and sexual themes pervade the story. Her youth was also overshadowed by her invalid younger sister, whose illness drained most of the family's energy, money, and love. Grovian must peel away at this complex family history to learn what triggered Cora, and the climactic revelation pays it all off beautifully.

I don't tend to go for crime stories that are this intensely psychological, but this is a corker. It's perhaps a touch to long, and in places a touch too slow, but these are relatively minor quibbles considering the mesmerizing tale. The comparisons to Patricia Highsmith are valid, and hopefully some of Hammesfahr's twenty or so other books are equally good and will become available in English.

I read the original book by Robert Kiyosaki some time ago and have taken a course from his organization, so like the authors of this book, Brainy Books say in this summary of Kiyosaki’s book, I read it to reinforce the original book’s major ideas. I thought they did a great job with it. It was short, concise but did not miss a single important concept. The gist of the book was that Kiyosaki had two dayd, a rich one and a poor one. The poor one, or actually middle class dad, worked for a living while the rich dad didn’t work for money and had money work for him. Traditionally, poor people work hard for their money but never get paid enough, whereas the rich people find ways to have their money work for them, reinvesting their surplus money into acquiring assets producing even more money in the future. A book worth reading that will hopefully make you want to read the original.

Easy to read

My husband (then fianc�) and I listened to Rich Dad Poor Dad by Kiosaki in 2006 on a long car trip shortly before our wedding (this is how I remember the year we listened to it). After that we bought the Cashflow game and we've played it once or twice a year ever since.

This book is an excellent refresher of the main points of the book. The writing is easy to read and follow. It does a great job of concisely summarizing the book by chapter.

What it does not do is convey the urgency and motivation of the original. It made me remember that feeling though. Motivation is not the goal of this book. It's goal, which it does excellently, is to let you know the main take away of the original.

Very well done.

This book presents an excellent overview of the book Rich Dad Poor Dad written by Robert Kiyosaki. I have a paperback copy of the original book and this is the most read book in my little library at home. In this book you'll learn about Robert's view on money, wealth, business, assets and liabilities. You'll learn about the difference between working for money and making money work hard for you, that the rich don't work for money instead they make money works hard for them. This book brings up really great advice on money and investing.

This CD will work!

I am just like most people a wife, mother and teacher. I know a lot of thought and love went into the making of this CD. When I was first was introduced to mantra's, I was not so sure about if they would work. I trusted the person that brought them into my life so I thought that I would at least try them. I have learned and tried many different ways of healing and I found that I resonate with mantra. I finally looked into them and tried them and needless to say, I am so grateful that I did. I have found that they have made a huge difference not only in my life but the ones of those I have done them for. I higly recommend the book Healing Mantra by Thomas Ashley-Farrand if you are just getting into mantra's or have been doing them for a while. I found this book to be most helpful to me in understanding how to say the mantra's, how to use them, where mantra came from and some of their purpose. GREAT BOOK!

This is a brand new CD, I am going to get it and use it for myself and others. I have no doubt that it will help heal the deep seated reasons behind overeating or being large.

In 2005 I was searching for some tools to assist me with prosperity issues and was guided by a friend to purchase Namadeva's book "Healing Mantras". After reading that book there was no turning back. I have since gone on to become certified in mantra instruction through Sanatana Dharma Satsang.
While I have not practiced the Discipline for Overeating, I can definitely attest to the success that can be achieved through the daily practice of Sanskrit mantra. Daily practice of mantra will lead you to the most blessed places, places you would have never imagined going. I am so grateful to Namadeva for bringing this tool into my life.

His work is steeped in the history and stories of India and Hinduism, yet he speaks with a contemporary voice, addressing issues of the day.

The end is finally here

This was my least favorite of the scribes of Medeisia series.
The fourth book picks up right where the third left off, and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the grand finale. Unfortunately, City in Ruins fell way below my expectations.
There are no surprises. The good stay good, the bad stay bad, no guessing, no edge of your seat intrigue. Our favorite cast of characters seemed to take a back seat as Stone went on an individual adventure, and I sorely missed the dragon, the wolf, and the rebels. They were present but affected nothing. Stone, who has been such a star before, stumbled along straight into answers instead of having to figure things out herself.(It was like taking a test but finding the answer key) The puzzle pieces fit together a little to perfectly, making it seem as if the author was eager to be finished and just wrapped up with a nice little bow. I wanted grit and dirt and heartache, but instead I simply felt detached from this addition to the series. Everything that happened, any major move a character made had little to no impact on the plot whatsoever. This left me extremely disappointed.
I will say, I did still enjoy this book. I have loved Stone from the start and was completely entranced with Medeisia and am sorry to see it go. I enjoyed the ending the author provided, it was the perfect ending for this beautifully imperfect story. While I cannot say this book was my favorite I would highly recommend this series for anyone who isn't afraid of gods, men, and dragons.

Wonderful Ending to the Series

City in Ruins by RK Ryals is the 4th book in the Scribes of Medeisia series. This series is an epic fantasy series filled with magic and dragons, evil kings and rebels, and friendship and love. I definitely recommend that you read the entire series, starting with book 1 - Mark of the Mage.
City in Ruins drew me back into the world of Medeisia and brought old friends back to me. Ms. Ryals is able to create such an amazing fantasy world with her words - she shows the readers Medeisia and makes it feel real. And the characters in this series are so realistic and relevant. Each character has flaws and strengths...no one is perfect.
I don't want to say a lot about the plot because the storylines of all 4 books are woven together so well and I don't want to give spoilers to anyone thinking about reading the series. But I will say that the plot is interesting and intense and the story has so many twists and turns. And the ending was perfect - it wasn't a happily ever after ending but it hints at the possibility of a happy ending for Stone and her friends. It gives the reader satisfaction but still allows you to think about the characters and wonder if it all really goes the way you want it to.
I highly recommend this book. I loved it!!

Absolutely brilliant entertainment, and a stunning conclusion

Oh God this story. I've been waiting for this story for what feels like forever. These characters are real, they're my friends. When they hurt, I FEEL it. They happiness, sorrow, pain..it's all consuming.

Book one pulls you in. Book 2 destroys you, repeatedly, into a million microscopic pieces. Book three is like bone regenerating... it gives you hope that you're able to piece all of those little pieces back together and end up being stronger in the process. But the problem is, while you rebuild, the feels just keep coming and you keep crumbling equally as often as you rebuild.

Then book 4. Oh dear lord this book. You want the impossible to happen, knowing it can't but hoping it will. It's an adventure unlike any other and it's all consuming. And boy was it worth the ride!!

BRAVO!!

Very interesting and clear, it shows uses of radionics that are not confined to therapy. It also shows how to use Radionics for personal development and to achieve goals much faster and easier than with visualization only. Following the reading I decided to buy a radionics device ARE X3 Pro and I am amazed with the results. The book shows hundreds of applications for radionics and explains the theory on which it is based, linking it with quantum physics."

The information presented in the book is one of the best that I found on this subject. Especially for the global approach that the author provides and the range of uses in which Radionics can be used. From my point of view Radionics would be a way to enhance dramatically our human capacities. I have incredible experiences with the use of radionics, but this book has opened my mind to give me new ideas. For example, the use for business, relationships, health, achieving goals, sports, children, animals, plants, etc. For me, the best thing is that Radionics acts at distance. You can influence on others, to help them in many ways. Very good and recommended.
