About the Author
Pejman Ghadimi is a self-made entrepreneur and best selling book author born in 1982 in the middle of a revolution in Iran, raised in France for the majority of his childhood, and eventually migrating to the United States in 1997. Raised by a single mother his entire life with very limited resources, Pejman quickly adapted to the idea of being resourceful. Due to lack of finances, Pejman chose to start working from a young age and focused his efforts on banking where he built a name for himself very quickly, climbing the ladder all the way to the VP level in a short 4 years span all without any type of formal education. Fast forward 3 more years and Pejman left banking with a significant amount of experience which was later applied to founding three major businesses: VIP Motoring, Secret Consulting, and Secret Entourage (which collectively have grossed over $40M in revenue annually). Pejman shares a very unique perspective on success and entrepreneurship; one that involves the birth of innovation through the impact made on others as well as the human connections we create daily backed by years of effective and practical leadership skills. Pejman has authored 9 books to date; his most recent best seller Third Circle Theory focusing on a unique roadmap to achieving a higher level of self-awareness leveraging the power of entrepreneurship. While currently being financially independent, Pejman focuses his efforts on teaching others the importance of self awareness, belief, and the power of defining your role and purpose.

I really wanted to like this book....
By TVR
I first heard about the author when I heard an interview he did on an entrepreneurship podcast. He sounded like an interesting fellow with an interesting concept, so I bought the book to learn more about the "entrepreneur mindset" that he was talking about in the interview. Unfortunately, this book was many things and interesting was not one of them.
First of all, contrary to what some of the other "reviewers" have stated, this is definitely NOT a book about entrepreneurship. There are no business strategies, marketing advice, or anything like that. It is about creating the proper mindset to prepare yourself to succeed in the entrepreneurial world, or any world for that matter. It really is more of a psychology/sociology/philosophy book than anything else.
The thing is, while I do agree with many of the viewpoints expressed by the author, the way they are explained is very jumbled, and really has no cohesiveness to it. I have read quite a few books on the topics of philosophy, psychology, ego suppression, etc., and I think that someone who has no prior reading on these topics would find this book very confusing and frustrating to read. For instance, in the chapter about emotions, the book suggests turning off the emotions and focus on the facts before reacting. While I agree that's a good idea, the book provides no suggestions on how to do that, or what steps to take in your daily life to train yourself to do this. These are HEAVY topics here that many people spend their entire lives working on, and glazing over these topics in just a few pages just doesn't cut it. On the topic of philosophy and emotional well being, I would recommend reading something by Krishnmaurti or Tolle instead. These two explain those concepts much more clearly and more in depth.
This book also seemed to read like an autobiography, except instead of being written in first person past tense, it was written in third person present tense. This book is obviously his story and observations from his life, but every instance that "I" would normally be used in an autobiography, it was replaced with "You", so it sounds as if he's telling you how things happen for you. It is just bizarre, and it annoyed me through the entire book. Honestly, I think this book would have been much more readable and more interesting if it was actually written as an autobiography where readers could learn from the author's experiences. Instead, this book lays out a constant stream of "You feel like this....", and "You consider this or that..." or, "Other people think this of you..." which just doesn't jive with me.
I am a self-made entrepreneur, and neither my path in personal life or my path in business fit within this cookie cutter life path that is laid out in this book. I really don't like writing low rating reviews, and I'm pretty choosy about the books I read so I rarely have to. But, in the spirit of helping people as this book suggests, I've got to put these things out there so buyers can make an educated decision on whether or not they want to bother with this book.

Not My Cup of Tea
By Jonny Gannon
I really didn't enjoy this book. I rarely write negative reviews, but this book was just odd. It seems very much like a bunch of observations, or better yet, opinions that have been thrown into a book. The book lacks actual content that someone could take and apply. This lack of content relates to both entrepreneurship and motivation. In the end, I'm not really sure what this book is.
I checked out the secret entourage website after reading the book and it seems to be very much about purple Lamborghinis and giant cheesy watches, which are of no interest to me. I also checked out their YouTube videos, where the author drives around in luxury cars spewing ideas and theories, but none of them seem to make a lot of sense. In one video, he talks about his theory on common sense while driving down the road where the engine of the car is drowning out hit voice. Common sense would be pulling over and making the video from the side of the road.
Finally, I had a very hard time reading the other reviews on Amazon, as they all seemed to say exactly the same thing, but give very few interesting details. Its like a robot is writing the same review over and over again. The sentence structure and POV is identical. If you are looking for books on business/entrepreneurship, I would suggest Harvard Business Review's books on Strategy, Competitive Advantage and Entrepreneurship. For motivation or life changing strategy, I would suggest The 5 Habits of Highly Successful People. I've had good luck with all of these.

This book is really bad. I don't know where these 5 star reviews ...
By Jay Mah
This book is really bad. I don't know where these 5 star reviews are coming from but I would bet the author had something to do with putting them there. First off, this guy is all over the place. There is nothing new, at all. He throws "self-help" gurus under the bus in an attempt to sway you he's not one, but he's just reinforcing the fact that's exactly what he is and you were a sucker to buy this book. Kudos to the guy for throwing a bunch of crap together in a book, selling it to schmucks like me, then going out and buying a new lambo every month from the proceeds. I hate buying books and stopping half way but I can't help it with this one. Terrible, terrible, terrible.
